FlowLines troubleshooting
The status bar at the bottom of the plugin reports every result and every failure. Start there.
"Select at least two layers to connect"
Connect needs two or more layers on the current page. Layers that belong to FlowLines arrows are ignored, so selecting an arrow and a screen counts as one layer.
The arrows connect in the wrong order
FlowLines uses the order you clicked. A marquee adds layers left to right. Change Order to Left to right or Top to bottom, or clear the selection and click the layers again in order. The top line of the plugin always shows the order it will use.
An arrow leaves from the wrong side
Auto sides connect across the larger gap between the two layers. When layers overlap or sit diagonally, that can be the less natural side. Delete the arrow, set Start side or End side, and connect again. Restyle selected keeps an arrow's sides, so it cannot change them.
The arrows did not follow when I moved a screen
Arrows only move when FlowLines redraws them. Click Reroute all. With Pro, tick Reroute arrows when layers move to have them follow while the plugin window is open; it stops when you close the plugin.
"N arrows lost a start or end layer"
The layer an arrow was attached to was deleted or moved to another page. Delete those arrows, or connect the layers again. Reroute all leaves them where they are.
My hand edits to an arrow disappeared
Reroute all, live reroute and Restyle selected redraw arrows from their stored record, so changes to the shape, color or label made by hand are replaced. Change the style through the Style tab and Restyle selected instead.
The elbow arrow still crosses a frame
Routing around frames is a Pro option and only applies to elbow arrows. Only top-level frames (and frames inside sections) count as obstacles, and the frames that hold the start or end layer never do. When no route is found within the search limit, or another frame sits right against the start or end side, the arrow falls back to a plain elbow. Move the screens apart a little and click Reroute all.
"Could not load Inter or Roboto for the label"
Labels use Inter Medium, Inter Regular or Roboto. If none can be loaded, the arrow is not drawn. Remove the label text, or make Inter available to Figma, and connect again.
The label did not change after Restyle selected
Restyle selected only replaces labels when the Label field on the Connect tab has text. An empty field keeps the existing labels.
"No new prototype links found in the selection"
The selected frames have no "Navigate to" interactions, or every one of them already has a FlowLines arrow. Other interaction types, such as overlays and URLs, are not drawn. Links whose destination is on another page are skipped and counted in the status message.
"In Slides, both layers must be on the same slide"
In Figma Slides, arrows live on a slide, so both layers must be on the same one.
Live reroute is greyed out in FigJam
In FigJam, FlowLines draws native connectors, which follow their shapes without any help. Reroute all reports them as connectors that reroute on their own.
"Select one or more FlowLines arrows to restyle"
Restyle selected works on arrows drawn by FlowLines. Select an arrow, or any part of one, on the canvas first.
